HALLYU ZOMBIE DRAMA REVIEW: Emergency Couple Episodes 10-11 (4/4)

Karen: I can’t wait to talk about the ROMANCE ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Zombie: Oh I KNOW!!! I decided, this week, that I wasn’t going to care about logic or reason any more, especially not when it comes to Chang Min. He’s completely stolen my feels and I’m just going to blindly cheer for him for the rest of the show. I don’t even care if nothing makes sense ever again. I think he’s just too… I’m not really sure what he is, actually… cute, funny, clueless, hopeless…  He’s so carried away by his feelings and he doesn’t really understand them himself. All he knows is that he hates seeing Jin Hee falling for Dr. Gook and he’s taking steps to ensure she doesn’t fall any farther than she already has. Whether he’s doing that the right way or not doesn’t really bother me at this point. Everytime he appeared on screen this week, my heart did a little backflip so I’m hooked… (I’m so lame)

Tanya:  I’m probably Team Chang Min, but I really need to see some progress and not just some bratty, temper tantrum-esque moments. He finally started to get that clue this week and is fighting for her attention more honestly.

Karen: I want to cheer for him too, but I just can’t...yet. I need to see some changes first! I’m with Jin Hee because she’s right to be skeptical. How will I know that he won’t dump her later on after he accomplishes his goals? Or has he really changed enough? We still don’t know why he served her divorce papers in the first place.

Zombie: I totally get that! She has every right to be skeptical and hesitant when it comes to dealing with Chan Min. It’s that whole “once bitten, twice shy” thing coming into play. She fell for him once and look where it got her. In some ways, leaving him was good for her (as far as making her life better than what it was… Having dreams and goals and ambitions and such and making them come true…) but it left her with some pretty major emotional wounds and I’m pretty sure, despite there being six years that have passed, those wounds have yet to heal.

Karen: And to think that there is another handsome doctor around the corner waiting for his shot at romance. I’m dying to know what everyone would do in Jin Hee’s position. It has to be an awesome boost to know two men are chasing after you.

Zombie: I couldn’t even imagine… Initially, you’d probably think it was nice, having more than one guy like you at a time but I think that eventually, you’d end up confused and eventually frustrated… Especially once you’d decided which of them you liked the most. Personally, I’d hate to have the one I didn’t choose, constantly hanging around. It would make things awkward, to say the least. *sigh* Such is the plight of a Dramaland heroine.

Tanya:  I don’t even want to imagine. It would be strange!

Karen: True, it’s only fun until it gets real. I’d say that Jin Hee needs to take her time and enjoy the moment for now. I don’t see why she has to rush and suddenly go back to Chang Min. Slow and steady is the way to go!

Zombie: Indeed! Especially when taking your time means we get to enjoy more of the Chang Min/Dr. Gook rivalry. I don’t know why I enjoy watching those two pick at each other all the time but I do. The green-eyed monster makes for some funny Dramaland moments and this drama is no exception… I just about died when Chang Min stole Dr. Gook’s jacket and shoved it into Yong Kyu’s bag. I know, it was wrong of Chang Min to do but it was still too funny!

Tanya: It was funny, but also that very temper tantrum I was talking about. I hope he feels guilty and gets it cleaned, then gives it back. Or Jin Hee finds it!

Karen: I shook my head when I saw Chang Min’s pettiness. Somehow, maybe Jin Hee will find out about this. I don’t like underhand fights. I thought about Dr. Gook’s long walk home in the cold without a jacket. So sad, so sad.

Zombie: And now I feel like a total hoser for laughing as hard as I did. Geeze! I’m so mean! I didn’t even think about what it must have been like for Dr. Gook to have to walk home freezing to death. In my defense, I did shed a tear for Yong Kyu as Ah Reum shot him down.

Karen: Oh my God, his emotions are so real. I just can’t believe Ah Reum is that cruel. The smile she gave him as she wanted to shake his hand is so nasty. She should have at least shown some remorse because Young Kyu is such a great guy and he deserves better than that.

Tanya: He made ME want to cry and I felt awful. I wasn’t even the one rejecting him and I have guilt. That girl needs a good slap to the face and a lecture on how to be a decent human being.

Zombie: Seriously! I’ve never liked Ah Reum so can I officially hate her now? The way she treated Yong Kyu was just too cruel! He so needs a hug right now!

Karen: Yes, let’s all surround him with hugs. I hope the poor guy gets back up on his feet again. It seems to be a devastating blow for him. I will smile when Chang Min rejects Ah Reum so that she gets a taste of that medicine.

Zombie: Oh, I will too! I would like nothing more than to see him completely forget about Ah Reum and end up with one of the nice nurses working at the hospital. I think he’d be much better off with one of them than he would if he ended up with Ah Reum. She’s just nasty to the core.

Tanya:  I have a feeling he’ll end up with someone nice and Ah Reum will realize what she lost and have remorse. Then he can be like, “sorry, nope!” and throw it right back in her face.

Karen: I hope Young Kyu ends up with nurse Son Ye Seul because she is so kind hearted and nice unlike the other nurse Heo Young Ji, who is a gold digger and a complainer.

Zombie: That would be just about perfect! Do you think we could bribe the writer(s) to make it so?

Karen: Yes, make Ah Reum single until the end! Is that too evil?

Zombie: Not at all! Let’s just add Heo Young Ji to that list as well. Anyone nasty enough to hit on someone because he’s well-connected deserves to live the rest of their life in lonely misery.

Tanya: She’s a new level of I don’t even know. People are more than their backgrounds. Ugh!

Karen: That is too funny and guess what? Every other male is taken except for the resident doctors.

Zombie: So let Yong Kyu and Son Ye Seul end up with their own “happily ever after,” the annoyingly cutesie couple will have theirs, Chang Min and Jin Hee will get a second shot at theirs and Dr.s Gook and Shim will finally have theirs as well. That leaves Ah Reum and Heo Young Ji to suffer alone for the rest of their lives and we all go home happy...

Karen: Cue the “womp, womp” sound. And then, who’s the “old lady” now?

Zombie: Sounds like a perfect ending to me! Now all we have to do is make sure the writer(s) do everything we just said they should and it’ll be all good… Right???

Karen: I love it!

Zombie: I suppose now we’ll just have to wait and see if what we think should happen is anywhere close to what will really happen. I wonder how close we actually are? I suppose only time will tell…

Tanya: The writers never do what we want. There’s a history of logical predictions we’ve had that never actually happen because they make. too. much. sense!

Karen: We’re only halfway through the drama so I’m wondering what else needs to happen beside the parental takedown of Chang Min and Jin Hee’s mothers.

Tanya: Honestly, their mothers are something else. I’m not even sure how they fit the title sometimes other than the fact that other people are calling them by that name. To answer your question though: So much. So much needs to happen...

Zombie: Well, first off, Chang Min has to win back Jin Hee’s heart and that’s not going to happen unless he does more than randomly kidnap her. Just because he’s completely smitten again doesn’t mean she is. Once he’s managed to convince her he really is the only man in the world for her, then they’ll have to tackle the parental roadblocks. I don’t see Jin Hee taking on that challenge unless she’s completely sold on Chang Min’s undying affection and she’s nowhere near there yet!

Karen: That’s exactly what I’m thinking though I think it should be easier now that he made some moves.

Zombie: In some ways I’d say, “yes” and in others, I’d say, “no.” Again, it comes back to the whole, “I’ve been burned by you before,” thing. I’m sure there’s a part of Jin Hee that would love to go back to the way things were with Chang Min before they turned ugly but there’s a bigger part (at least at the moment) that wants nothing to do with the jerk who Chang Min was as their marriage crumbled. It’s got to be hard, trying to decide if you want to walk that path again, knowing how awful it was the first time around. That’s not to say Jin Hee won’t go back to Chang Min, because we all know she will, but there’s a lot of groundwork that needs to be laid before she’s willing to commit to that relationship again.

Karen: Exactly. Who knows how badly Jin Hee was hurting inside since she never shows it to anyone. Even during their big house fight, she never successfully told Chang Min how hurt she really was at the time, but Chang Min refused to even listen to her sob story since he was too preoccupied with his own problems.

Tanya:  I’m thinking that he’s finally starting to get a clue that this isn’t all about him. I only say that because he’s actually starting to fight for Jin Hee’s attention now.

Zombie: As well he should! I would love to see Jin Hee completely break down on Chang Min and just totally bare her soul to him… Preferably after he confronts (in a very emotional way) her about her lack of reciprocated feelings and she’s just so overwhelmed by Chang Min’s feelings (as well as her own) and she just can’t keep them bottled up any longer. I think she needs to just explode at some point, with Chang Min there to see it, so that he can fully understand the amount of emotional baggage she’s been carrying around for all these years. I think it would do her good to unleash all of that tension and just pour out her soul to Chang Min and not just about their relationship but about everything Jin Hee’s had to deal with in the past six years… Her family, her struggles through med school, her feelings for Chang Min, etc. There’s a lot there she’s been keeping inside and at some point, I think it’s all going to come pouring out and once that happens, Jin Hee will finally be ready to love again.

Karen: What a pivotal moment that would be!

Zombie: Wouldn’t it? I can see it in my head already…

Karen: While we’re at it, let the sky rain on her as well and then maybe Chang Min will cry as he takes it all in.

Tanya: It has to be the rain! Always with the rain! It must make emotions more real or something.

Zombie: Naturally, and once Jin Hee releases all her feelings and Chang Min absorbs the reality of it all, they’ll stand there, in the rain, tears streaming down their cheeks, staring so deeply into each other’s eyes they can see into the soul and at that moment they’ll know they’ve always truly been meant for each other and that will be then end of all competition for everyone else…

Karen: Wow, the story is getting steamy from here on. I can see them heading back to Chang Min’s apartment afterwards…

Zombie: I think they’d have to pull off one mighty passionate kiss first and then they can head to the apartment… There’s nothing quite like a passionate kiss in the rain… And they’d better not screw this kiss up with some half-hearted, woman-stands-there-like-a-dead-fish kiss either! This kiss needs to have all the passion a six-year-separation-from-your-soulmate-reunion requires.

Tanya: I was actually impressed with the first few kisses we have seen so far! They weren’t dead fish kisses. I mean, not soul-shattering, but compared to what we usually get from any K-drama that’s not in the I Need Romance series, they were pretty decent! More?

Karen: Hm… I see this scene taking a comedic turn now. From watching this week’s episode, they might have an accident at home where one of them fractures another bone (perhaps, rolling off the bed?) and they have to see Dr. Gook in the hospital again.

Zombie: Oh geeze! I hope not! I was so annoyed by that whole fractured collarbone thing! (Though if it was from rolling off the bed, I suppose wouldn’t be too annoyed…)

Karen: Yeah, who knew you can fracture a collarbone from a seatbelt and a chain purse strap?

Tanya: Who owns a purse with a chain strap in all honesty? And then wears it like a messenger bag? In a car? She deserved it! Even if only because she has an ugly purse...

Zombie: LOL! Let this be a lesson to us all… Never wear your chain strap purse while riding in the car… Always keep it in your lap! Was I the only one confused as to whether Jin Hee’s collarbone was actually broken? The way they treated her, I wasn’t really sure if it was broken or if it was just a contusion? Either way, it had to hurt like crazy, I just couldn’t figure out what her injury actually was.

Karen: I wouldn’t know! And I have no experience with these things. I, however, do feel Jin Hee’s pain.

Zombie: I’ve broken my nose, my ankle and had some pretty bad arm contusions and they all hurt like the dickens, so her reactions are completely natural. I just wasn’t sure how badly she was injured.

Karen: Ow, that sounds painful.

Zombie: It was… I’m not the most graceful person in the world so I’ve experienced my fair share of broken bones and ridiculous contusions. I keep hoping one day I’ll outgrow my lack of grace but so far, no such luck.

Karen: Speaking of graceful, were you two surprised at Dr. Shim’s secret confession of being a single mom with another guy?

Zombie: I was impressed by how smoothly she pulled that one off. Oh! The look on Dr. Gook’s face after she said it… Wow! You can totally tell he’s still harboring some pretty serious feelings for her.

Tanya: I was so proud of her! I know it seems a little silly, but she was honest and straightforward once she was questioned about it, so good for her.

Karen: Do you still think the child could be his? Or is that girl Ji Min too cute to be his?

Tanya: Originally I thought so, but I’m sure Ji Min isn’t his now.

Zombie: I’m completely convinced Ji Min isn’t Dr. Gook’s (and not because I don’t think he could have such a cutie for a daughter because he totally could). I see no reason for Dr. Shim to lie about Ji Min’s dad’s identity. Whoever he was, he was obviously a loser and Dr. Shim did the right thing by keeping Ji Min and raising her on her own. I think that Dr. Shim’s past is what’s going to push Dr. Gook towards her, rather than Jin Hee, and I’m totally okay with that.

Karen: Any guy who tells a woman to get an abortion is a total scumbag. I’m glad Dr. Shim never regretted her decision and is even giving Dr. Gook a lot of space to accept her.

Zombie: She’s really pretty cool, even with her brief moments of jealousy peeking through now and then and I like how calm she usually is. It’s a nice balance to all of Jin Hee’s spazziness.

Tanya: Preach it! She’s got my respect. I love ‘real’ characters and Dr. Shim is definitely meeting all of the requirements. Was anyone else a little confused when they first interacted in these episodes though? Why was the specialist reporting to a resident? Dr. Shim often feels the need to point out she’s higher up than him in front of others, then reports like an intern in private? I’m confused…

Karen: Woman power! How else can she survive at the hospital where there are few women doctors? I guess she can let her guard down around Dr. Gook in private.

Tanya: But it made me understand Dr. Gook’s frustration though! She’s in his face in front of other people, but in private kind of gives off that meek air that she’s less powerful when she’s not. It would make me upset too if I were him.

Zombie: I think she’s just wearing different hats for all her different roles. She can’t be all tough in front of Dr. Gook because he knows her better than that… He knows her as more than just the hospital’s specialist, he knows her as herself. Because of that, I think he’s okay with her being tough at work and more vulnerable when they’re together. I mean, they were in a relationship, once upon a time, I’m pretty sure he knows more about her than anyone else.

Karen: I don’t think Dr. Gook cares for power too much, except when he couldn’t save Jin Hee from being wrongfully fired.

Zombie: You know that bothered him so much, when he had to admit that Chang Min was the one who saved Jin Hee’s job. That’s something he really wanted to take the credit for!

Karen: Dr. Gook seems to like ordering interns around, but this time an intern had more power than he did. I think it’s time for Dr. Gook to end his residency and become an official doctor.

Tanya: Wait, who doesn’t care about power again? That kind of seems like a complex.

Karen: Could be. I’ll let those boys...err men battle it out in future episodes.

Zombie: *squee!* I can’t wait!

What do you think about the romance happening on Emergency Couple? Do you think Jin Hee will accept Chang Min or will she fall for Dr. Gook’s charms? Do you think we’ll get a steamy kiss in the rain or will that only exist in our dreams? Let us know in the comments below!

HALLYU ZOMBIE DRAMA REVIEW: Emergency Couple Episodes 10-11 (3/4)

Karen and Zombie Mamma have covered a lot of this week's episodes! Chang Min is starting to grow on me too as he becomes less pompous and runs with his jealousy/confusion thing. He has decided to go all in and just follow the course where ever it take him. I admire that. The more he shows that he still cares, the better the chances he will have with Jin Hee in the end.

HALLYU ZOMBIE DRAMA REVIEW: Emergency Couple Episodes 10-11 (2/4)

This week, I threw all logic and sound reasoning out the window as I fell head-over-heels for Chang Min and all of ridiculously adorable feelings for Jin Hee. Chang Min, FIGHTING!
you like the old lady

HALLYU ZOMBIE DRAMA REVIEW: Emergency Couple Episodes 10-11 (1/4)

Flashbacks! Memories! Jealousy! Rejection! Welcome to a brand new week of Emergency Couple, episodes 10-11, with Karen. The drama is progressing along well as our main characters continue to take major steps towards love. This week's episodes are probably my favorite episodes so far because it is so romantically exciting. Where will love take everyone on Emergency Couple?

The big exciting moments of the week start with Oh Chang Min (Choi Jin Hyuk) as he pursues his former love, Oh Jin Hee (Song Ji Hyo). This week, the viewers get to see three kisses, spoon feeding, and a back hug from the couple. Dang! What's more, Chang Min and Jin Hee visit each other's home.

Continuing from our Hallyu Zombie chat from last week, Chang Min took my advice and tried to take Jin Hee away from the hospital for some alone time. While his efforts were a bit forced on Jin Hee, the night still ended up badly when Jin Hee fractured her collarbone from her seat belt and her purse chain after Chang Min suddenly hit the brakes in his car. Although they went back to the emergency room, Chang Min once again took my advice last week and decided that he has to start over with Jin Hee before planting down a kiss on her unconscious self.

I definitely sensed several zaps of manly tension between Oh Chang Min and his love rival, Dr. Gook Chun Soo (Lee Pil Mo). I'm surprised at how directly Chang Min asked Dr. Gook if he liked Jin Hee and how directly Dr. Gook answered him. Still, Chang Min was super petty when he spilled Dr. Gook's drink on Dr. Gook's jacket that was a gift from Jin Hee. Even worse, Chang Min ended up stealing the jacket afterwards. I can't back Chang Min too much when he resorts to such petty tactics.

Amazingly, it seems as though Jin Hee likes Dr. Gook and she also admitted it to Chang Min. I saw the gleam in her eyes when Jin Hee looked at Dr. Gook after her collarbone fracture.

Dr. Gook, however, seems to be hovering between Jin Hee and ex-girlfriend, Dr. Shim Ji Hye (Choi Yeo Jin). I believe Dr. Gook is leaning more towards Dr. Shim though. Did Dr. Gook wear the jacket Jin Hee gave him because Dr. Shim mentioned that he looked good in it? Dr. Gook practically ran out of the bar to look for Dr. Shim after Dr. Shim's U.S. phone call took longer than expected. Furthermore, Dr. Gook still kept his past birthday pictures with Dr. Shim for six years. Once he knew Dr. Shim's secret, he became super curious about Dr. Shim's past and whether she still kept contact with the father of her child.

Speaking of Dr. Shim, she took a long time to confess what I thought since last week: she has a daughter and she is a single mother. I knew Dr. Gook wasn't the father of the child and there's no reason why Dr. Shim should hide the fact if Dr. Gook was indeed the father. By the way, the child actors look amazing in this drama. Dr. Shim's daughter, Ji Min, is really cute and pretty.

Story line-wise, I had a problem believing that Jin Hee would find Chang Min's bag of meningitis notes and medicine in the garbage can one day after he threw them away. I would have thought that the hospital would empty their garbage cans at least once a day, if not every few hours. Also, what are the chances that Chang Min's bag would still be on the top of the garbage pile a day later?

Intern Han Ah Reum (Clara) and Dr. Shim have something in common. Unlike Chang Min, they don't seem to be that jealous toward their loves. Ah Reum saw the kiss mark on Chang Min's coat and continued to be playful with Chang Min. Dr. Shim didn't bat an eye when she saw Dr. Gook try on the jacket Jin Hee gave him. Dr. Shim even said that she is honored to be Dr. Gook's one and only girlfriend and she is happy enough to be by his side. Are these women really mature or do they want to play it cool?

Shockingly, Han Ah Reum is scary when she's mad. She starts spitting out American English with an accent at amazing speeds. I'm not even sure if I can speak English that fast when I'm upset.

While Oh Jin Ae (Jun Soo Jin) believes that, for her, love is not an accident and therefore really pure, I hate the way Han Ah Reum handles her love relationships, especially with unwanted ones. Poor intern Im Young Kyu (Yoon Jong Hoon) had to tear through Ah Reum's brutal honesty as she tells him that mistakes happen and that she still wanted to be friends with him. Anyone can tell, with the huge amount of effort Young Kyu put in, that his confession is clearly not a mistake. I think Young Kyu needs a hug right now. He really fell for the wrong woman.

What do you all think so far? We're halfway through the drama and I'm wondering if there are more major obstacles waiting for us in the second half of the drama. Visit our blogs soon as Zombie Mamma and Tanya have their turn at energetically reviewing this week's drama.

My First Leibster Award! Q&A with Karen Yoon-Kung

Drumroll...my first Leibster award....

Thanks to Jacqueline, owner of the HKKoreanDramaIsland blog for the nomination.

I thought it would be fun to do Q&A since I rarely talk about myself on this blog. I will answer Jacqueline's questions.

1. What are your hobbies besides watching dramas.
I enjoy studying the Chinese language, especially Cantonese, Toisanese, and Mandarin. I also enjoy learning Korean as my husband is Korean and Korean is also helpful for enjoying Korean entertainment. I love dancing to Zumba, belly dancing, and K-pop. I am quite adventurous and enjoy learning something new, especially when it comes to performing arts. I am a dreamer who enjoys writing fiction as well.

2. What’s your major?

I am a working professional, but I majored in Music Industry and minored in Music Theory in college.

3. What’s your favorite drink?

I love juices, especially apple juice and orange juice.

4. Who’s your favorite onscreen couple?

It’s hard for me to decide who my favorite couple would be. There are many couples that I like such as Charmaine Sheh and Raymond Lam, Song Seung Hun and Kim Tae Hee, and Song Hye Kyo and Hyun Bin.

5. Who influenced you to blog?

I have always wanted to start blogging. I have always wanted to share my knowledge with the world and to my future kids and I have always wanted to do it my way. I have also always wanted to interact with others who have the same interests. In a way, I am influenced by people around the world and my family.

6. Describes your personality?

I feel that I am a thoughtful and kind person, but a lot of people want to take advantage of me because of it. I like to study others before deciding how much I should trust them with a deeper relationship. I like to look at other people’s actions more than their words. I can be forgiving or unforgiving based on other people’s actions. I like to be prepared for everything I do. I love to travel and go on vacations, but I am also too scared of the unknown. I value my family a lot even though I may not show it.

7. How many languages do you speak?

I can speak English and Cantonese.

8. How long do you think you will stay blogging?

I know that I do not blog often due to time constraints, but I plan to blog until I am no longer physically able to do so. There is still so much I want to tell the world and my future kids.

9. Who’s your favorite actor and actress?

Charmaine Sheh (chinesemov.com)
Song Hye Kyo (fanpop.com)
Raymond Lam (tvb-perspective.blogspot.com)

It is hard for me to pick a favorite out of the entire pool of actors and actresses in this world. For actresses, I am fond of Song Hye Kyo and Charmaine Sheh. For actors, it’s hard to say. I like Raymond Lam, but in the Korean realm, I really cannot pick just one actor.

10. What are your pet peeves?
I do not enjoy bad story lines or typical story lines. I do not like stories where the characters are intentionally made weak, unintelligent, or lacking in common sense. I don’t like “Superman” type characters who continuously forgive bad guys and are goody two-shoes, people who must do the right thing at all costs, depending on how important the thing is. Lastly, I cannot stand weak heroine characters who cannot stand up for themselves. I always like the image of a power woman as the main lead and power can be interpreted in so many ways.

Coincidentally, Zombie Mamma and I nominated each other so I will post my answers here as well:

1. What was your favorite drama of 2013?

Nine: Nine Time Travels (koreandrama.org)
My favorite drama of 2013 is Nine. I loved the story line, which kept me on my toes. I have never seen so many amazing twists in a Korean drama.

2. If K-pop is your thing, which artist/group is your all-time favorite? Which song and/or album of his/hers/theirs is your favorite?

I will forever name Girls' Generation as my favorite group of all-time. After all, Girls' Generation's "Gee" song is the first song that got me hooked into the K-pop phenomenon. I don't know what their new album sounds like, so my favorite album for now is 2013's "I Got A Boy."

3. If you were to star in your very own noona romance drama, who would be the younger man to steal your heart and how would he do it?
Yoo Ah In (dramafever.com)
Right now, I would like that person to be actor Yoo Ah In. He melted my heart as the romantic king in the drama, Jang Ok Jung, Live For Love. He will star in another noona romance in Secret Love Affair and I am curious about that drama. If Yoo Ah In and I were in a drama, I would like him to act like his young and spunky self, who, despite having a lot of girls by his side, would be attracted to me. I, of course, would deny that feeling until the very end. While we're at it, let's have actor Kim Sung Soo whisk me away while Yoo Ah In fumes in jealousy. Obviously, in the end, I will face my feelings and realize that I love Yoo Ah-In more. Is this synopsis becoming a typical drama? I could really write a deeper drama if you gave me more time!

4. Who is your all-time favorite K-Drama/K-Pop star/group? Why?
Full House (seoulbeats.com)

Well, I covered my favorite K-pop group, Girls' Generation. My all-time favorite K-drama will always be Full House since that was the very first K-drama I have ever seen, which made me feverishly addicted to watching dramas. Looking back now, I feel like that drama is very cheesy, but the drama will always take a sweet spot in my memory.

5. If you could spend a day hanging out with your ultimate bias, who would it be and what would you do?
I get very scared of these type of questions because I don't know who my ultimate bias is! Let's just say I have a bias. He and I would do friendly things like chat in a cafe or restaurant for hours because I would like to get to know him better.

6. If you could visit South Korea, would you be more interested in exploring the country as a whole or would you rather visit all of your favorite drama locations? Why?
Since I already been to South Korea twice, I have toured around many beautiful places in South Korea. While I think it's worthwhile to visit famous drama locations, I don't necessarily need to see them. I would never regret seeing all the other beautiful places in Korea like its mountains, its temples, its historical villages, its special restaurants, Jeju Island, and of course, my family there.

7. Which do you enjoy more: Watching all the newest dramas, even if it means waiting a week to find out what happens next or waiting until a drama has finished airing so you can marathon the entire drama in one go?
Ideally, I would like to wait until a drama completely finishes airing before watching it, but if I had the opportunity to review the drama, I would not mind watching the drama as it airs. If I didn't have to review the drama, it would be a bit frustrating to wait, but once I decide on taking this path of waiting each week, I would never complain. I would excitedly anticipate the next episode. I watched The Prime Minister and I this way.

8. In your opinion, which K-drama has the best kiss scene and which has the worst?
I still believe Yoon Si Yoon and Lee Ji Ah's kiss in Me Too, Flower is the most salacious of them all, especially since Lee Ji Ah, who played a police officer, tried to cuff Yoon Si Yoon for stealing a designer bag.
Heartstrings - Park Shin Hye, Jung Yong Hwa (fanpop.com)

The worst kiss has to go to Park Shin Hye and Jung Yong Hwa in the final episode of Heartstrings. It was the most stiff kiss I have ever seen for two people who are supposedly very much in love. It reminded me of two wooden planks trying to kiss. I think people need to stop obsessing over this fictional couple in real life because they don't seem to have any chemistry together.

9. What is the most played song on your iPod (or equivalent) right now?
I have Taeyeon's "Set Me Free," By2's "2020 Love You Love You," and Ellie Goulding's "High For This (The Weeknd Cover)."

10. If you could interview any Hallyu star, who would it be and what would you ask?
Hong Ji Min
I hate doing interviews in real life. I cannot emotionally understand why, but I dislike being an interviewer. Anyway, I would like to interview Hong Ji Min, who is an excellent veteran singer and actress. I first saw her in the drama, I am Legend, as a bassist and then again in Miss Korea as a person who guides Miss Korea contestants. I'm not sure if anybody pays much attention to her, but her voice is godly and her smile is golden. I would like to ask her for singing tips and advice on how to be a beautiful singer.

Wahhaha, Shai also nominated me as well even though I nominated her too! If you didn't know me enough now, you will know me even better! Is it me or are the questions getting harder and harder?

1. What was your first K-drama?
I mentioned this a little bit before in one of the previous questions, but KBS2's 2004 drama, Full House, was my first K-drama and I watched it with Cantonese dubbing on VHS tapes that I borrowed from one of my mom's friends. Kim Sung Soo will always be "Man Hak goh" (brother Man Hak in Cantonese) to me and I also started calling people "faan tong" (rice buckets in Cantonese). My answer to everything is to go camping ("lo ying" in Cantonese.) Song Hye Kyo became my favorite actress of all-time after that drama. I liked Rain too, but I was not that fascinated with him although his music videos made him so awesome.

2. What is your favorite actor/actress's WORST drama? If there isn't, what's your least favorite?
As I mentioned in a previous question, my favorite actresses are Charmaine Sheh and Song Hye Kyo. This question is a hard one because even though they are my favorite actresses, I have not watched all of their dramas!
Angels of Mission
Out of the dramas that I did watch, I think for Charmaine Sheh, my least favorite drama is 2004's Angels of Mission because the story line was really boring even though Charmaine Sheh was so physically powerful. The story itself seems to be a weak version of a form of Charlie's Angels. I wouldn't say it's the worst drama though, but my least favorite.

That Winter The Wind Blows (hancinema.net)
For Song Hye Kyo, again, I wouldn't consider it a worst drama, but my least favorite is probably her most recent drama, That Winter The Wind Blows only because we didn't get to see any amazing kisses, since for the majority of the movie, Jo In Sung had to play her brother.
For the men, in the HK realm, I like Raymond Lam. My least favorite drama would be 2001's A Step Into The Past, which I never finished in its entirety. I guess I didn't want to see Raymond turn into an evil emperor.
As I mentioned, I don't know who my favorite Korean actor is so I will not have an answer for this part.

3. What's your favorite couple that was never meant to be?

When it comes to main couples, I would say actors Jang Shin Young and Ryu Soo Young from MBC's 2005 drama, Rebirth - Next. The drama is about the intertwining love and reincarnation of three people, but I would have really liked it if I saw Jang Shin Young and Ryu Soo Young's characters get together in the present life. It is sad to see two people, a potential couple, who are almost next to each other, but not realize it.

I also felt very heated when actors Lee Bo Young and Yoon Sang Hyun's characters did not last long in the drama, I Hear Your Voice. To me, they broke up because of a very stupid reason and I have a hard time believing that Lee Bo Young's character would have a change of heart all of a sudden.

Lofty Waters Verdant Bow (tvbizz.wordpress.com)
In the HK realm, Raymond Lam and Michelle Yip had a really tragic end in the 2002-2003 drama, Lofty Waters Verdant Bow. Not only did Raymond Lam's character not love Michelle Yip's character, but Michelle Yip made so many sacrifices for him. In the end, she tricked and forced him to marry her only to die of internal injuries after the wedding ceremony. Ah, my heart.

4. Do you enjoy any shows that aren't Korean dramas? If so, what are they?
Fated To Love You (en.wikipedia.org)
Recently, I have started watching Taiwanese dramas. I started with Fated to Love You, which is an excellent drama full of funny characters. Then, I started watching Just You, which was a tad bit annoying because the main leads were annoying and Deja Vu, which was even more annoying because the main female lead made bad decisions, which caused too many bad consequences.

5. If your life were to be turned into a drama, who would you want to play you?
Kelly Chan (rottentomatoes.com)
To be honest, I would very much like to play myself if I could.
My late uncle always thought that I looked like Kelly Chen, a Hong Kong singer and actress. I guess I would have her play me as well though perhaps in the older years since she is much older than me in real life. Even though I hate her singing, I would consider Korean singer and actress, Park Ji Yoon, to play me as well. I like people who can take someone down with seriousness and a stare. I also need a younger actress who can cry well, who is not exceptionally pretty, and who possess a variety of feelings such as being shunned, ignored, obedient, revengeful, dreamy/imaginative, quiet, and alone. A person who possess duel personality is great as well. She must also need to speak Cantonese and English and needs to be able to play the piano and violin. Are you curious about my life now?

6. What song are you listening to or thinking about right now?
I currently have Ellie Goulding's "High For This (The Weeknd Cover)" on replay.

7. What k-drama character do you love to hate?
I'm going to go with pure evil characters who have no remorse for any evil things that he or she has done.

8. Which do you prefer? Melodramas or Romantic Comedies?
I love romantic comedies. I can handle their ridiculous story lines because it's meant to be fun and lighthearted. In melodramas, I cannot believe the ridiculous story lines and how the characters react to it.

9. In your opinion, what's the most underrated drama?
I will always think that the K-drama, Nine, deserves more recognition. The story line is amazing as it twists, twists, and twists! It takes a great mind to come up with such a creative story.

10. What drama(s) are you watching right now?
I am watching and reviewing the K-drama, Emergency Couple, right now with Zombie Mamma and Tanya. I am also watching the T-drama, Deja vu, which is still airing. I just finished the K-drama, After School: Lucky or Not. I am also watching various dramas slowly: one episode at a time.
